Maria Nalbantova is still young, but she has already decisively chosen her professional career as a graphic designer and illustrator. She loves innovative approaches and focuses mainly on artistic books, alternative prints, and book-objects. Her work reveals unique combinations of words, pictures and space that create understanding and comprehension without retelling. Along with her creative projects, Maria works at the University publishing house “St. Kliment Ohridski” and teaches Illustration at the National School of Fine Arts “Ilia Petrov”.
Maria Nalbantova was born in Sofia, 1990. She has a Master degree in Illustration from the National Academy of Arts; and Erasmus education at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Universidad de Granada, Spain.
DESIGN IS: a synthesis between the world of matter and the world of the idea, which purpose is the pure transmission of meaning, function and aesthetics.
