Alexander Gerginov combines fashion design with contemporary art and teaching. Basic adjectives for the direction of his style are kitsch, functional and comfortable. In his work, he always strives to build topics with a lot of inspiration and personal flavor, such as comfort zone, self-knowledge, connection with the roots, sexuality, female and male face, contrast. This is evident not only in his numerous shows, participations in festivals and performances, but it’s also reflected in his own Ham & Eggs clothing label. Alexander is a favorite teacher at the highschool of textile and fashion design in Sofia, where he teaches drawing and fashion illustration.
Alexander Gerginov was born in Elin Pelin, 1980. He holds a PhD degree in Fashion from the National Academy of Arts.
DESIGN IS an aesthetization of the function.
