Asya Koleva’s professional development starts with the Hungarian language, editing and translation, and turns and hangs around graphic design and illustration. Her work is a crossroads of words and images, as well as a meeting of the adult world and the world of children. She is inspired by the raw uncut style of painting and does not stop experimenting with shapes, patterns and colors. Asya believes that the lack of accumulations in the sphere of visual culture in Bulgaria is a challenge for the designers, but also an incredible freedom and a chance for personal creativity, which she expresses by drawing and making notebooks, posters, cards, books, etc. All of them she combines under a small brand – White Boat – Byala lodka, for paper (and not only) products and books with a focus on children.
Assya Koleva was born in Plovdiv, 1980. She graduated in Hungarian Philology and Graphic Design.
DESIGN IS a beautiful order.
