By education Petar Zaharinov is an architect, but his vocation appears to be in the product design. He strives to find solutions to seemingly impossible geometric and mechanical constructions and to apply them to objects of practical value, led by the model “Function follows form”. He is also the main engine behind two successful brands. The Tape Flips project is a combination of recycled cardboard and tape which can be transformed into a variety of furniture. PRAKTIK is a joint project with software developer Deyan Spasov, inspired by the puzzle, in which the furniture is assembled without tools, screws, nails or glue, and the results obtained depend entirely on the imagination of the user.
DESIGN IS: above all a higher degree of freedom of expression in comparison with architecture, lacking all the complexity of the environment, as well as the technical and financial challenges.
