Sevda Semer
Sevda Semer is a well-rounded artist – she successfully displays her talents as a writer, photographer and illustrator in well-designed reviews of books, articles, personal visual diaries, paintings, echoes of her free interpretation of things. As deserved, Sevda is included in the Art Start exhibition: young artists to follow in 2017 (Goethe-Institut and Credo Bonum Gallery, January-February 2017). Currently, she lives in London, where she fills with her typography the windows of British bookstores and dedicates herself to the making of zines as part of her residence at HATO PRESS, the city’s largest risograph printing and publishing studio.
Sevda Semer was born in Sofia, 1990. She graduated from the National School for Ancient Languages and Cultures.
DESIGN IS: a reaction with an exact meaning or a solution that enters everyday life without resistance. I look for it everywhere, because it gives me new energy – I look at the signs on the street, labels or objects.
