Dimitar Stankov‘s work featured in the exhibition LOCAL BEAUTY, Review of Bulgarian Design 2022 was inspired by the sound of the Bulgarian Kaba bagpipe. His goal is to visualize the sound, which has a strong impact on the human mind and body and is capable of leaving lasting images in the mind. In this way, Dimitar creates three-dimensional objects that preserve personal sound memories of his homeland, family and traditional Bulgarian music and show the interaction between music and the human body. Despite their compact size, the objects exhibit a strong character.
