“The title Stillness comes from a feeling I have carried within me for many years. The idea for this exhibition emerged long ago as a way to express the absence of Lake Ohrid from my everyday life. That place has always been a source of inner peace for me—the calm it offers and the silence emanating from the water itself are impossible to replace.
Over time, however, I began to feel that this sense of intimacy was slowly disappearing. Excessive human presence has been transforming the lake, and with it, the feeling of stillness has gradually faded. When you witness something so precious changing before your eyes, the need to respond comes naturally.
This exhibition is my response—an attempt to visualize that process, to reveal what is being lost, and to convey the feeling that remains. I hope visitors will not only see this issue, but truly feel it.”
