Liza Premiyak is a freelance writer based in London and Managing Editor at The Calvert Journal. She graduated from the Critical Writing in Art & Design MA programme at the Royal College of Art in 2014, and in 2015 joined the team of The Calvert Journal. She has also contributed writing to exhibition catalogues for galleries, as well as arts publications including 212, Apollo, The Art Newspaper, Magnum Photos, King Kong among others. Liza is a regular at portfolio reviews across Europe, and has acted as a judge at photography and design awards such as FK Magazine Prize and DesignBlok.
Launched as a project of Calvert 22 Foundation in March 2013, today The Calvert Journal is the foremost English-language magazine dedicated to contemporary eastern European culture. In its daily features, news, photography and travel reports, it stands apart for its wealth of original research, striking photography, and clarity of insight on a region that, despite its richness, often goes under-reported.
