Sofia Design Festival

Hey is a graphic design studio based in Barcelona (Spain), specialising in brand identity, editorial design and illustration. Hey has made a name for itself over the last 13 years for creating bold, brightly coloured, forward-thinking design work. Their unique power is the clean visual language which they apply throughout different media, be it print, digital or handcraft. Their stunning and seemingly simple typography and imagery immediately catches the eye to leave a lasting impression. In their own words: “We love geometry, colour and direct typography. This is the essence of who we are. We take care of every single step of the design process and we always work closely with our clients, big or small, in one-to-one relationships.” Among their clients are Apple, Uniqlo, Vodafone, Monocle, The Wall Street Journal, Penguin Random House and Oxfam.

Hey was founded by Verònica Fuerte in 2007. After earning a degree in Graphic Design from ELISAVA and a MA in Typeface Design from EINA, she worked for several design studios in Barcelona, gaining along the way ADC Young Guns 7 award and appearing in prestigious media such as It’s Nice That, DesignBoom, Communication Arts and AIGA.

At Hey Verònica has gathered a compact team of like minded creatives with whom she shares her passion for constant evolution and staying open to new challenges. Verònica also teaches in several different universities in Barcelona and frequently speaks at international conferences.
