Idea and realization: Maria Baleva (pottery) and Zornica Genova (poetry), 2020

What started as a side project between two friends in need of channeling their inner creative selves, quickly gained momentum and transformed into a successful and internationally recognized brand. Maria Baleva is an architect by professional vocation, who finds in herself a passion for working with clay by chance and starts experimenting with the material at first just for her enjoyment. Her friend Zornitsa Genova is a lawyer and has been writing poetry for years.

The two combine skills and strengths in the common beautiful project Pottery & Poetry - Maria takes care of its visual identity and the creation of the objects, and Zornitsa has taken over the marketing part and the formation of thoughts for each of the collections. All items are handmade and glazed with nontoxic materials.
